Christine Pöttker

born in 1952, for more than 30 years she lives in Berlin in the district of Steglitz. Her fascination with photography she has found when she worked as a media speaker. Her ideas she realized mainly by photography nature and landscape. To year 2009 in defiance of prevalent trends she took  pictures using a EOS 50 E reflex camera. Also at the present time with pleasure she reach for her first legendary camera – Minolta XD 7. Fascinating for the artist is a fact that she cannot see the results of her work at once, as it is with digital photography. Curiosity and patience are for her the indications of  capture the mystical moments in the picture. Her passion are contour backlight photos, which she presented on her last exhibition  in Berlin in 2012 titled. “ The magic of the poppy flake”.

Pictures which will be present on the nearest exhibition were created in the Valley of Jelenia Góra in the "Silesian Elysium" in 2005-2009. During the journey around  the “Palaces and Gardens Valley” in 2004 when Christine Pöttker and her husband were looking for their ancestors footprints the life companion of Christina died. After that this place has become very important for the artist. Photography has gained a new meaning for the artist, it has become a searching for the lost, looking for the ways how to show her interior visions. Since 2010. photographer also painting using water-colour , which enables her  a new dimension of artistic expression.
